SLEEP: Drink This For Zzzzzs
Many of us enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, a coffee, or a tea before bed, and some parents even give cocoa to their kids. But lots of those comforting hot drinks contain caffeine - including hot chocolate and your usual cup of black tea. What’s your favorite bed time drink?
Ditch the caffeinated comfort and opt for a delicious spiced milk instead. Use your milk of choice, and add calming spices: turmeric, clove, cinnamon and just a touch of ginger. Powdered spices are fine. Add a little honey to taste. Warm the spiced milk slowly and when it’s hot, use a sieve or tea strainer to pour into your mug. The warmth and spices will help to get your body ready for peaceful sleep.
